Continuing on from Introducing Charlotte X. Charlotte has plunged into the lifestyle head first – well, Charlotte doesn’t do anything by halves. First off, let’s get the technical stuff out of the way. This is a well-written tale with a narrative that doesn’t grate and is easy to move through. A skill that not all writers possess, to state the obvious.
Introducing Charlotte does exactly what the title states, and in more ways than one. The story begins by introducing the reader to Charlotte at a particular turning point in her life and we come to understand something of who she is and what makes her tick as we see her at this emotionally testing time. Later, after we think we’ve come to know Charlotte, Charlotte herself is introduced to… something… I’m not one for giving spoilers, so I’ll just say that she’s introduced to something dark and delicious, and this introduction is handled with sensitivity and aplomb. Reading this book is like experiencing a hot date; anticipation… then hope… then desire… then escalating desire…. then, ultimately, satisfaction. Five Stars!
on 24 January 2016I don’t really know what I was expecting but not an introduction into bdsm! It was so well written and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book! Not really knowing much about that way of life other than what I’ve read in fifty shades, Charlotte Hains has really taught me so much! She goes into such depth explaining everything about the way of life that you feel like you’re part of the story too 🙂
