Robert R. Talley is nearly a lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in San Mateo, "because that's where my parents were when I decided to make the scene", he lived in San Francisco's Richmond District as a child and later as a teenager in Marin County. He was graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School, College of Marin and San Francisco State. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base in Marin County.
In 1995 Mr. Talley retired from Civil Service as a real estate contracting officer for the Navy. Mr. Talley is a California Notary Public and Mobile Signing Agent specializing in real estate and motor vehicle documentation signing services. As a Certified Apostille Agent he also provides document signature verifications for persons who will be studying, working, getting married or relocating outside the United States.
In 2010 and 2011 Mr. Talley wrote his first book, Child on the Home Front, about growing up in the Bay Area during the World War II and the Korean War eras. He has since written a second book, "Staycation Destinations, Short Getaways In and Near the San Francisco Bay Area". Three other books, about paranormal experiences, a Civil War soldier and a vaudeville comedian, are in his "concept thinking" stages.
