Debbie Lannen
Debbie DeCeco Lannen is a playwright, theatre director and children's book author. She was the Artistic Director of the Spotlight Still Got It Players - an over the age of 50 acting troupe for it's first five seasons. She has published three children's books. The first being Crystal - A Fairy's Dream was published in 2013. Her second, Same Dumb Lake, Same Dumb Curves was published in Feb. 2014. The third, Crystal A Caribbean Adventure was recently published in 2015 and is the second book in the Crystal series.
As a playwright, Debbie DeCeco Lannen produced and directed her anti bullying play, "I'm Sorry" at the Mid Winter Madness Festival in Feb. 2014 in NYC. It was also producers in St. Louis. She has had 3 of her short subject plays produced in NYC. Priscilla the Precious won the Audience Favorite Award.
As an adopting parent she has written an accounting of the process in her book, We Won You in a Raffle. It is the heartfelt telling of a life changing journey. It is told with honesty and humor meant to encourage and inspire.
Ms Lannen has combined her talents with a lifelong friend and together they have published Uplifting Friends. The book features beautiful photos by Santi Centner and carefully selected inspiration quotes.
Debbie DeCeco Lannen currently lives in Florida. She regularly visits with young writers at schools through her author visits.
