“The Junglies Collection” combines the first five books in the “Junglies” series of children’s books into one beautifully illustrated 96 page book.
The book includes the “Junglies” board game based on the characters and stories from the “Junglies” and a durable carry bag which makes it easy to take the book and game with when travelling. Each of the first 500 book are also personally autographed by the author.
The “Junglies” stories are about the adventures of five jungle animals and their game warden friend.
The stories all have a lesson for young readers to take to heart such as honesty, teamwork and perspectives.
Aside from the lessons which the stories offer, they are good for introducing the subject of endangered species to children as every animal represented by a character in the stories, has at least one subspecies which is endangered.
The “Junglies” stories also have a theme of “Unity in Diversity” which is dealt with neutrally using animals. It is important for children to learn to respect others regardless of religion, gender, culture or race from as early an age as possible.
The “Junglies” stories were originally inspired by the author’s eldest daughter. The author lives in Bandung with his family at present.
