War is coming! A war the like of which Earth has never seen. Satan’s power is growing stronger and stronger, and his evil is seeping into the world. Soon not even the Lord’s strongest angels will hold back the force that intends to destroy His creation … and the Lord himself!
‘Can you feel that?’ asked Darius, an angelic soldier sworn to protect the humans and Earth.
‘Satan!’ a voice said from the group of angels.
Darius agreed, looking surprised and shocked. ‘Three times in twenty days he has shown his presence. He has never done this before.’
The angels stood silent and expressionless, not knowing what to do or say. Another angel flew down from above and landed next to Darius; his magnificent twenty-foot glossy silver wings folded and disappeared into his back. He was tall and athletic with dark hair that shone and bright blue eyes.
‘Michael.’ Darius welcomed him, bowing his head; the others followed suit.
‘Again,’ said Michael. It was more a statement than a question.
There was silence. Michael was deep in thought, trying to understand the situation. ‘I don’t like this. Darius, take Jade and Kleo and kill the possessed human. It’s too late to save their life, but we can still save their soul. I don’t want there to be any exchange of words.’
‘It only takes one to kill a possessed,’ said Darius.
‘This is what troubles me. Satan knows we will just push him back to hell again – why keep coming back?’ said Michael. ‘I’m taking no chances. Three of you go – save the human’s soul, then get straight back here!’
‘Yes, Michael,’ said Darius. ‘Jade, Kleo, let’s go.’
All three marched towards the portal that would take them to Earth and simultaneously touched bright white orbs on their golden belts. Each made a whirring noise before releasing flexible metal armour which wrapped around their entire bodies. Magnificent swords appeared on their thighs and beautiful white wings burst from their backs, expanding to fifteen feet.
All three stopped by the circular portal in heaven’s floor, gave each other a nod and jumped through one by one.
