I've been writing for years, mostly short stories published in various Science Fiction magazines, including Space & Time, Shayol, and Amazing Stories. Now I self publish my own novels and short-story collections.

Growing up in the sunny Southeastern U.S., I developed a love for reading right after I discovered the school library. I read almost everything, but was especially fascinated by the fantastic tales of spaceships, space exploration, and conflict among the stars. I eventually discovered writers who would become favorites—Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, John W. Campbell, and later, Larry Niven and Harlan Ellison. I graduated from Avondale High School just outside Atlanta, and after a stint in the U.S. Army assigned to the 2nd Armored Division at Ft. Hood, Texas, I worked in the field of electronics and electronic technology. After a few years of reading all of those great Science Fiction stories, I decided to try my hand at writing some of my own, and placed my first published story, Timestopper, in the July 1981 issue of Amazing Stories. Eventually, with more of my stories reaching publication, I became a veteran writer in the Science Fiction genre.

I once thought I could draw and paint pictures, and I did create and sell a few landscape paintings, both oil and acrylic. I currently live in a rural farming community in Morgan County, Georgia, where I write full time.
