Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Sojourner McConnell continued to live in Pleasant Grove while raising her three children. in 2000, Sojourner moved to Phoenix, Arizona. She thrived in Phoenix, finding creativity and independence.

In 2010 she moved back East to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She lives in Winchester, Kentucky with one of her daughters and three of her thirteen grandchildren. She has six grandchildren in Alabama and four that live in Michigan.

The Path of the Child is Sojourner's first book. While writing her second book, The Shepherds of Donaldson Park, she was a contributor to 31 Days of October.

Sojourner is currently working on two children's book at this time. These books are expected to be released in 2017 and 2018. When not writing, she is busy entertaining her Australian Shepherd, Beau. Beau gets jealous when she spends too much time working on the computer.

As part of the Organization team of Mystery Thriller Week, she has become fascinated with writing a mystery of her own.
