Faithful John + Some interpretation of the Jungian symbolism imaged through out the story. The red horse = the sex drive + John kills it ( The desire to mount ) because the wedding hasn’t taken place yet. Note: The red horse at the top of the castle of the princess, as well. The island of the female ( Anima ) is a side view of a woman = sticking out of the water. The wedding shirt = pride = John burns it up before the king can put it on. Three drops of blood + the green aura ( illness ) around the toxic princess = the curse of materialism up until the wedding = moving from self centeredness to other centeredness = wife / parent, etc. Three ravens = the tricksters + have psychic powers + the guardians of sacred and secret mysteries + present three obstacles which take place when the ship returns to reality, from the subconscious. John sucks the three drops of blood from the princess = she comes back to life + the curse is transferred onto John + leading to his petrification ( turning to stone ). Blood and sacrifice is used to bring John ( the personification of the spiritual dimension ) back to life. Note: only to GOD does one sacrifice ones own children. ( war, etc. ) John has the power over life and death = his return to earth mattered more than anything. And they lived happily together for the rest of their lives. What symbolism did you see in the story as you watched to video / DVD. presentation.
