Second Edition
I have never been the outdoor type. I never dreamt of working with the fertile earth and getting my fingernails dirty. (Heavens, I might break one!) My pursuits have always been inside activities: decorating, reading, sewing, singing, tending to my many houseplants and caring for three boys. I certainly never envisioned myself as a farmer. (Who me? In overalls, driving a tractor? No way!) I had no idea what intensive work lay before me and the parallels God would reveal to me; parallels between me training and caring for the vineyard and His training and caring for me. The Love of our Vineyard Keeper and His meticulous care for us; the rationale for some of the apparently painful processes He performs in our lives; these became clearer to me as I journeyed deep into the life of the vineyard.
