A DANNY ROBERTS NOVEL

Broken Angel (18+) is the first instalment in the Danny Roberts suspense/action/thriller series.

With a hint of gangland rivalry and interspersed with plenty of the authors characteristic dry, sarcastic humour, the novel makes for an entertaining and thrilling read.

Danny Roberts is a businessman. He is also a man who will sort out your ‘problems’ for you, for a price of course.

One morning, Danny wakes up with a naked woman in his bed. The fact that he does not know who she is or where she came from is the first link in a chain of events that will threaten to destroy everything he cares for.

Threaten is the one thing you do not do to Danny Roberts.

Excerpt:

“MUM!” He screamed at the top of his voice and turned to run.

There was panic in his stride now as he tore his way through the brambles ripping holes in his jeans and legs. He didn’t care. All he could think about was getting away from this place as fast as he could. Imagining that at any moment a cold, lifeless hand was going to grab him and drag him to his death in the frigid, dirty canal.

“MUM!” He screamed again as the tears start to run down his cheeks.

“MUM!” Over and over it was the only word he could think of.

He finally broke free of the brambles and started to run at full pelt. He suddenly kicked his football and as it went splashing into the canal, it sent him crashing to the floor, one leg slipping over the edge and into the freezing water.

“NOOOO! GET OFF ME!” He screamed as he scrambled to his feet again and ran as if the devil himself was chasing him.

A kind of shocked silence descended now. There was no more shouting, no more tears. Just blind panic. Adrenalin was surging through his young body and the only notion now meaning anything was ‘RUN’. Run like the wind. Get away from this horrible place and into his mother’s arms.

“Mum!” He sobbed as the tears started again.
