The Manual, Steady and Ma Duncan are all works of non-fiction. Daisy Chain Killers and From Darkness Into Lite are works of fiction. Besides the above books, I have authored or co-authored five screenplays, one of which has been optioned to a major Hollywood producer.
I have numerous published magazine articles, mainly for magazines selling to the horse market.
I have also been a writer for a company that provides essays for TOEFL testing.
Prior to becoming an author I worked in Law Enforcement for 30 years. During that time I wrote thousands of pages of police reports and because these reports are scrutinized by the courts, I learned the value of well written English. And, of course, strict deadlines were always a part of this process.
I was an adjunct professor at Ventura Community College for nearly 20 years in the Criminal Justice Program.
I am currently a Police Procedures Consultant for authors and producers/directors.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Masters in Public Administration from California State University at Northridge.
